1 Naha kokusai shopping street

     Naha Kokusai shopping street is the main street of Naha city. In this street, we can buy and eat some things.

     First, you can buy a lot of gifts of Okinawa prefecture for your family and firiends. For example,  you can buy ’Chinsuko’ ,which is made from suger, flour and lard. I It is the baked sweet and texture is very unique. So, when you visit Kokusaidori street , Naha city, I recommend you that you buy it.
   
     In Okashigoten (お菓子御殿), you can buy not only Chinsuko but also Red pot tart . Red pot tart is the main gift of Okinawa because the taste is a little sweet and it's taste is good for break time with Japanese tea(お茶　Ocha).
 
     The Okasigoten has a factory of Red pot tart, so you can eat Red pot tart ,which is just made. And you can eat lunch and dinner at restaurant of Okasigoten. In addition, at Ryukyu dining matsuo, we can listen to traditional music of Okinawa. It will be enjoyable time for your trip.

I think you will arrive at Naha airport. So go to Naha airport station and take a train of Yui rail(ゆいレール）for Syuri（首里）.　After 12 minutes, please get off at Kentyomae（県庁前）,which is next to Asahibashi(旭橋). Exit the station, please walk to Naha Kokusai shopping street. I think you can find the word 御菓子御殿. It's the goal. I hope you will relax with a lot of Okinawa sweets.


  
Second, you eat Okinawa's traditional food in there. For example, in 'Paikaji', you can steak, Gurukun fried and Bitter gourd Champlle. The 'gurukun' is the fish of Okinawa and The 'gourd Champlle' is one of Okinawa's traditional food. It's a little bitter but the bitter is good taste. It's not only included bitter gourd but also included egg , sausage and so on , so even if you dislike the bitter gourd , I think that Bitter gourd Champple is good taste for you.

2 Cyuraumi Aquarium

     I think that Tyuraumisuizokuka Aquarium is the main attraction of Naha city. Please watch this picture.

     In this aquarium, you can watch a lot of sea creatures and a big Whale shark. You will be overwhelmed the big scale of Aquarium and The whale shark. If you are lucky, you can take nice photo like the above pictures.
   
     After you watch the auarium, I want you to watch the show of dolphin. The dolphin does powerfull performance like high jump! Please check the show time and watch it.

Lunch

     You can take break time in the Ino restaurant. In lunch time, you will enjoy buffet , so you eat some food of Okinawa. For example, there is the 'Red pot Tenpura'. Red pot is the special product of Okinawa and Tenpura is the Japanese food. So, it is amazing taste for you. The price is that Adult(not include under elementary school student) is 1520 yen, Elementary school student is 890 yen , the age of 3~5 children is 600 yen and over 65 ages person is 1190 yen.
　
     The restaurant'name Ino means the sea surround of coral. It is only word of Okinawa prefecture. So, it is the Okinawa dialect !

Sea creatures

Coral

     You don't have to go sea to wacth the coral. The coral is the main sea creatures of Okinawa prefecture. You can watch coral above the small aquarium. If sunny, you can watch the combination of coral and sunny  and take a good photo.

Whale shark

     I think that you are overwhelmed above picture. You can watch whale shark in five aquarium of Japan. One of them is Cyuraumi aquarium. Do you think the number is few, don't you?

Area

      Cyuraumi aquarium has five areas. One of them, I want you go 'the Aqua room' of the tour to Black tide. Above the room, you can the Whale shark above your head. It is as big scale as above picture.

3.Syuri Castle

     Syuri castle convey the history of Ryukyu Kingdom from 1429 to 1879 of Japanese calender. Ryukyu kingdom prospered about 400 year ,so it's same to Edo Shogunate history! During second world war, the first Syuri castle was destoyed and it was reconstructed in 1992.

     Syuri castle locates at small hill ,so you can look around Naha town and great sea! I think it's great but night view also makes us touching. Syuri castle has two observatory. One of them 'Nishinoazana (西のアザナ)' is the most beautiful spot of Okinawa. If you are schedule to stay at Naha city, please go there and enjoy the night view.

Kanji Introduction

Cyuraumi (美ら海）

美(Cyu) means beautiful in English. The pronunciation is unique to Okinawa and we usually pronounce Bi(美). Ra(ら) is Hiragana,so Cyura(美ら) means beautiful.
海(umi) means sea in English. It's not unique to Okinawa, All Japanese pronounce it but 海 has another pronouciation 'Kai'. For example, 日本海(Nihonkai) means this sea. I think there are different way to use but I can't explain. Sorry. 

Syuri castle(首里　城)

In English, we can say 'Syuri castle' but In Japan we can say Syuri jo.Syuri(首里) means the region of Okinawa and Jo(城) means castle in English.




     In the end of first edition, you can feel Okinawa thorough buying Okinawa's gift and eat Okinawa's traditional food in Naha Kokusai Shopping Street, Okinawa prefecture.In Cyuraumi aquarium, you will be overwhelmed the scale of sea creatures and the big aquarium. In Syuri castle, you feel the history of Okinawa prefecture.
